PREVIEW. Lost in Paris/Paris pieds nus

A review will follow on this site.

The Belgian-Canadian duo of Dominique Abel and Fiona Gordon are back with Lost in Paris/Paris pieds nus, a farcical comedy, in which they star on and off the screen, having written and directed the film, as well as acting in it. Selected in the Laugh section of the 60th BFI London Film Festival, the film was also selected earlier in the year in competition at the Telluride Film Festival. --Cineeuropa.

Lost in Paris depicts Fiona (Fiona Gordon) on her much-challenged trip to Paris to visit her Aunt Martha, (a sprightly 88-year-old Emmanuelle Riva). Along the way she is repeatedly encountered by Dom (Dominique Abel), a homeless man who may be a romantic interest, or an opponent. Touching, quirky romance alternates with slapstick humor. Fiona loses everything on arrival, but gets a lot back.

The acquisition of Lost in Paris by Oscilloscope is an opportunity for the comic duo of Gordon and Abel to reach an American audience. Theatrical release of the film in NYC begins June 16, 2017.
